Engr. Dr. Waqas Ahmed is a dedicated academic and researcher with a Ph.D. in Industrial & Management Engineering from Hanyang University, South Korea. He possesses over 15 years of diverse experience in academia, research, and industry, with a particular focus on operations and supply chain management, industrial engineering, and data analytics. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Operations and Supply Chain at the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan Dr. Ahmed has a strong research portfolio, having published numerous articles in reputable international journals indexed in SCI and Scopus. His research interests include supply chain optimization, data-driven decision-making, and manufacturing systems. In addition to his academic work, he has contributed to institutional development through curriculum design, program accreditation, and student advising. His professional background is enriched by international exposure, having worked on projects and academic assignments in South Korea and Brazil. Dr. Ahmed demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration with industry through consultancy, trainings, workshops, and applied research.
